If you do not have a special enrollment period available throughout 2024, your next opportunity to enroll or change your Medicare Advantage or Individual & Family plan will be for a January 1, 2025 effective date.

If you're on a Medicare Advantage plan, you may choose to move to another plan choice, or switch back to Original Medicare  during this time period.

Employers may shop for new group plans any time thoughout the year.  Once established with an insurance company, your annual renewal period stays the same each year.  Employers may change carriers at any time. 

Medicare annual open enrollment period lasts seven weeks every year. Within the span of these dates, you can shop for new coverages, carriers, and premiums. Any change made during this time will be effective the next January 1st. 

Open enrollment for an individual / family medical plans spans a six week period of time.  You may shop for a new plan, review changes in your current plan, and go through the enrollment process, for a January 1st or February 1st, 2024 effective date.
