LET ME HELP YOU UNDERSTAND MEDICARE

As your 65th birthday approaches, a ream of marketing materials will arrive in your mailbox! Without knowing what to expect, learning about plans for Medicare beneficiaries can be overwhelming. It’s tough to sort through all the options that are presented to you! Having an experienced adviser available to educate and help you through the process of enrolling in a Medicare policy, can be a great stress reliever.

In the midst of learning about Medicare coverage, it’s important to understand the type of policies available to you, and the timing in which you can access them. After you’ve applied for and received your Medicare Part A & B card, you are considered newly eligible to begin your new policy effective on the the 1st of the month of your 65th birthday. You are given an Initial Enrollment Period (IEP), which allows you to complete enrollment paperwork prior to, and shortly after your birthday month, depending on the type of coverage you choose.

For over twenty years I've actively worked with Medicare beneficiaries, and welcome the opportunity to build a relationship with you.

"I’ve worked with Lisa for over twenty years. She helped our small business choose the health insurance plan that would work best for us. Over the years she provided a high level of customer service: handling difficulties with claims, communicating with our Health Insurance plan to solve problems, and answering many questions. Now that I am retired, she helped me transition to an appropriate Medicare Advantage plan. It is a pleasure to work with Lisa."

Have you observed that there are additional steps required to access assistance for your Medicare plan?

Let's walk through the necessary procedures to engage with your agent and ensure you receive the best possible service

1) To maintain compliance with Centers for Medicare Services (CMS) regulations, I will kindly request you to complete a Scope of Appointment form before our meeting or any discussion related to Sales & Marketing of Medicare products. This form is mandated by CMS and serves the purpose of ensuring a clear understanding of your specific Medicare plan preferences, preventing any deviation from the selected product types. Please ensure that I receive this form at least 48 hours prior to our scheduled meeting, except in the case of last-minute contact within the final four days of the annual/open enrollment period.

2) When we engage in a phone conversation, CMS necessitates that our call be recorded. I will seek your approval for call recording, which will be an automated message or a direct request for consent.

3) I will provide you with a CMS disclaimer to make you aware that I do not offer all the plans available in your area and direct you to where you can access this comprehensive information.

4) Our initial interaction involves a fact-finding process. It is essential for me to understand your healthcare providers and preferred hospital system. Additionally, if you are willing to share your prescription drug information, I will investigate the cost and tier classification using a carrier's RX Formulary.

5) Once we have determined the Medicare plan that aligns with your requirements, I'll assist you in the enrollment process. Most enrollments can be conveniently completed online, and I will provide guidance throughout the application. You may visit my online enrollment page here.

6) My commitment to your well-being extends beyond the initial enrollment phase, as I am available throughout the year. If you encounter challenges with your coverage, experience difficulties with claims, or need general guidance, I am here to support you. I have access to a dedicated team at each insurance company, and together, we can address and resolve any concerns you may have.
